Volunteer Opportunities

New Norm Living partners with local schools, nonprofits, and community organizations to support meaningful service opportunities that uplift youth and families. Volunteers assist with events, mentorship, community activities, and outreach efforts that create safe spaces, promote growth, and strengthen neighborhoods. Through collaboration and service, we work together to make a lasting, positive impact in the communities we serve.

Winter Formal

A local school in our community is hosting its Winter Formal Dance and is seeking volunteers to support this special event.

Volunteers are needed to assist with:

  • Event setup and breakdown

  • Decorating and preparing the space

  • Serving as chaperones to help monitor the dance and ensure student safety

This is a great opportunity to support local students, give back to the community, and help create a safe and memorable experience for youth.

Mardi Gras

New Norm Living members are invited to participate in a fun and meaningful volunteer opportunity by assisting with a small Mardi Gras parade at a local charter school. This family-friendly event celebrates culture, tradition, and school spirit, and volunteers will play an important role in helping the day run smoothly.

Volunteers may assist with parade setup, student supervision, distributing throws, helping line up classes, and general event support throughout the parade route. This is a great opportunity to give back, connect with the community, and support students during a joyful school tradition.

May Day

This event is designed to celebrate students, families, and educators for a successful school year and to kick off summer on a positive note.

This is a great opportunity for members to give back, connect with the local community, and support youth and families in a fun, uplifting environment.

Participation helps reinforce New Norm Living’s commitment to community service, leadership development, and creating positive impact in the neighborhoods we serve.
